Alleanza Group supports the US Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security program Operation Allies Welcome and related programs. Alleanza, as a subcontractor to International SOS (ISOS) and several of their prime DoD contractors, assist in the coordination and implementation of a broad range of services, including logistics, initial processing, COVID-19 testing, isolation of COVID-positive individuals, vaccinations, additional medical, psychiatric, dental services, basic screening and support for individuals who are neither U.S. citizens nor lawful permanent residents. This support includes initial processing at pre-designated U.S. military bases prior to being connected with non-governmental organizations (NGO) for resettlement into communities.
Alleanza was engaged by ISOS in late July 2021, prior to the fall of Kabul to the Taliban. We were initially asked to assist with procuring major components for infrastructure for the first medical clinic on Fort Lee, in Virginia. We were then asked to procure a vast array of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals for Fort Lee (VA), Fort Pickett (VA), McGuire Air Force Base (NJ), and Holloman Air Force Base (NM). We also consulted on their pharmaceutical formulary. We consulted on and procured the appropriate imaging technology for several bases and arranged Biomedical Engineering Services to certify and maintain all equipment.
We currently employ over 100 clinicians and admin personnel in multiple states. Based on the success of the previous requests, we were asked to assist with a broad range of staffing needs at all military bases involved: physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, paramedics, EMTs, lab and phlebotomy techs, radiology techs, nursing assistants, and administrative staff. We also procured and fully staffed 4 mobile dental vehicles, two at Ft Pickett and another two at McGuire Air Force Base. For this component, we hired dentists, dental techs, dental hygienists, and additional administrative staff. Our paramedics have also staffed the mobile convoys for incoming Afghan refugees being relocated to various bases upon arrival in the US.
We were recently engaged by 2 NGOs and UK-based security firm Akkadian International LTD to assist in the direct evacuation and initial medical screening of a large number of Afghan civilians from various Afghan cities and transiting them through a third country for more complete medical support before ultimate resettlement in several Western countries.
